Priority roadmap

All 15 charts ranked by frequency and impact.

What you are looking at

All 15 charts ranked by frequency of use and impact, each with two bar scores out of ten. Use the filter buttons to narrow by tag — daily use, exec-facing, Agile, risk, or often missed. Click any card to expand and see when to use it, what most PMs get wrong, and an expert tip. Charts marked Built are already in this library.

What most PMs miss

Most PMs are fluent in about eight to ten charts and unaware the others exist. The biggest gaps are EVM curves, Tornado diagrams and Control charts — the three tools most associated with senior programme management. Knowing when to use which chart matters more than knowing all of them.

The expert tip

Filter to Often missed and work through those charts first. The Tornado diagram and Control chart are used infrequently but have outsized impact in budget negotiations and steering committees. Being the PM who produces a Tornado diagram in a risk conversation immediately signals a different level of capability.
